Southborough's Advisory and Select Boards jointly reviewed FY2027 departmental and capital budgets totaling $71.9 million, an 8.08 percent increase from the current year. Superintendent Greg Martineau presented a regional school budget with an 8.98 percent increase, driven by special education, transportation, and health insurance, while the K-8 school budget showed a 3.99 percent increase, both level-service proposals with no new positions. Police Chief Ryan Newell reported 25 sworn officers, Fire Chief Andrew Puntini discussed new Deputy position benefits, and multiple departments reviewed operational and capital needs ahead of Town Meeting.
