Advisory Committee backs Neary renovation; rejects school building study
Advisory Committee · Meeting of February 4, 2026
Southborough Advisory backs $15M Neary School renovation. The committee voted 7-0 to support the project after Chair Marci Jones noted it had unanimous backing from the Select Board and School Committee. However, the Advisory split sharply on a companion $500,000 feasibility study for Trottier and Finn schools, voting 1-6 against the measure; member Andrew Pfaff, who introduced the motion, ultimately voted against it, citing concerns about Trottier's septic system and wetlands issues and Finn's location near the highway.
The committee also unanimously approved $4.5 million for roof repairs and upgrades.
