Advisory Committee · Meeting of January 13, 2026
SOUTHBOROUGH — Advisory Committee reviews FY27 capital plan at joint meeting. The Advisory Committee met with the Select Board and Capital Improvement & Planning Committee on January 13 to hear CIPC Chair Jason Malinowski present the FY26 Capital Update and Long Range Projections covering the FY27 budget. Topics included water fund investments, public safety equipment and staffing, school capital projects including roof and floor work, and road and sidewalk maintenance options.
Advisory and Select Board members asked questions on the proposals, while resident Tim Litt noted opportunities for town-school technology coordination; the board consensus indicated administrative IT consolidation may be feasible but educational IT integration is not advisable. CIPC has not yet voted to approve the presented items.
