Affordable Housing Trust advances CPC funding as senior bylaw delayed

Southborough's Affordable Housing Trust advanced its Community Preservation Act funding application this week, with the CPA Committee voting to move the warrant article forward and both the Select Board and Housing Authority issuing letters of support. The trust also agreed to delay a proposed 55-and-older housing bylaw to fall after substantial community input on density and affordability concerns during a Planning Board public hearing. Trust members expressed concern about the postponement while acknowledging the need for additional community engagement on the initiative.
