Southborough Board of Assessors approves motor vehicle excise tax commitment totaling $289,437. Vice Chairman Tammi Rice presided over the April 21 meeting in the absence of Chair Jeffrey Klein. The Board unanimously approved monthly motor vehicle excise tax abatements totaling $8,145.24 spanning the 2025 and 2026 levies.
The Board accepted the Community Preservation Surcharge Report for fiscal year 2026, with a net raised surcharge of $494,856.13; Principal Assessor Paul Cibelli will submit the CP-1 Form to the Department of Revenue. In executive session, the Board approved two real estate tax exemptions and denied one abatement.
