SOUTHBOROUGH — Board of Assessors approves three real estate tax abatements. The Southborough Board of Assessors approved three real estate abatement applications on Monday, providing combined tax relief of $1,959.87. Chairman Jeffrey Klein and board members Tammi Rice and Heath Widdiss also approved 13 motor vehicle excise tax abatements totaling $2,493.92 for December.

Principal Assessor Paul Cibelli reported that approximately 300 single-family homes remain in the town's cyclical inspection program, with the board signing an FY26 contract with Real Estate Research Consultants Inc. at $40 per parcel.
