SOUTHBOROUGH — Scholarship Advisory Committee approves three prior-meeting minutes and reports combined account balances of $15,558.38. Chair Lisa Braccio oversaw review of the Carol Harris, Town, Stefanie Ranieri, and Linda Hubley scholarship funds. The committee discussed fundraising options including a Community Advocate article and porch pick-up donations, noting website fee concerns.
Braccio reported that Select Board member Kathy Cook is exploring a dedicated annual budget item for the Town Scholarship, modeled after the Cultural Arts Committee's funding model. Katie Barry will assist with 2026 application revisions prior to distribution to schools, Mysouthborough.com, social media, and the town website; the committee scheduled April 9 (tentative) and May 14 application-review meetings.
