Community Preservation Committee plans spring and fall project agendas

Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of March 26, 2026

Southborough Community Preservation Committee advances spring and fall preservation project agendas with cost restructuring for Town Common rail work. The committee reviewed ongoing projects with DPW Superintendent William Cundiff reporting on the Town Common Rail restoration, which moved to bid phase after cost restructuring created a base project with two alternate options. Freddie Gillespie, Chair of the Open Space Preservation Commission, reported on the Audubon International Project for the golf course and the required Management Plan to achieve Audubon International Standards.

The committee set July 31 as target completion for reviewing four Fall Town Meeting applications from the Recreation, Historical, Golf Course, and Trails committees.
