Southborough Conservation Commission deferred the contested Valley Road trail hearing to July 23 after neighbors objected to an Eagle Scout boardwalk and trail project citing traffic, privacy, and wildlife concerns. Residents Allison and Martha Pedraza of 25 Valley Road opposed the 30-foot boardwalk and 1,000-foot trail over soil compaction and habitat impacts; Conservation Agent Melissa Danza supported it as lower-impact than existing informal crossings. The Commission continued four other development hearings, issued conditions for utility-pole replacement along Parkerville and Lynbrook Roads, and voted to support the Trails Committee's scaled-back bridge-only grant application after an earlier boardwalk plan exceeded budget.
