SOUTHBOROUGH — Golf Course Committee approves $30,000 for fencing and Audubon environmental certification. Chair Jennifer Selig oversaw the meeting, with members approving the fencing appropriation as metal prices rose from $19,000 to $25,000. The committee will phase irrigation work at $75,000 per year from operating budget and pursue Audubon International Certification at a $500 to $1,000 annual fee, with Freddie Gillespie obtaining proposals for town meeting warrant article.
Invasive species removal from cart paths on the 8th and 9th holes is planned, and cart path development will follow irrigation completion at a minimum 25-foot setback from the stream.
