SOUTHBOROUGH — The Southborough Golf Course Committee approved the Audubon project scope and submitted a $970,000 Community Preservation Act grant application for irrigation system renovation. Members Brenna Pierson and Freddie Gillespie completed the Audubon scope, which was approved unanimously. Funding includes $550,000 previously allocated, $100,000 from the revolving fund, and $350,000 from the Community Preservation Committee.
The committee discussed capital improvements including tee-box enlargements on the 3rd, 5th, and 8th holes and considered changing the 7th hole green to address ongoing damage from wayward balls.
