SOUTHBOROUGH — Personnel Board approves FY27 salary increases across 48 town positions. Most employees receive a combined 5% raise consisting of 3% cost-of-living adjustment and 2% salary step increase, approved unanimously by Chair John Thorburn, Vice Chair Brian Shea, Doriann Jasinski, and Marguerite Landry. A motion to grant Senior Center Nurse Leslie Chamberlin an additional 2% adjustment outside the salary grid failed 2-2; Thorburn and Shea opposed, citing the pending Classification and Compensation Study as the appropriate venue to address employees at the top of the grid.
One employee review deferred to July. Town Administrator Mark Purple will execute a contract with MGT Impact Solutions for a comprehensive salary study, with kickoff meeting scheduled in-person.
