Recreation Commission · Meeting of June 30, 2026

Southborough Recreation Commission voted unanimously June 30 to write a letter supporting the Trails Committee's bridge project CPC funding. Chair Kristin LaVault, members D. Dumont and C.

Rehlander, and Recreation Director T. Farley attended. Farley reported the DCR lease bill for 911 Field exceeded budget and will require additional town funding, though FY26 payments came in on time.

Summer programming launched successfully despite air conditioning failures at Woodward School. The commission reviewed three parking options for Fay Memorial Park renovations and preferred Option 2 for minimal park impact and maximum parking space. An RAD Sports impact report showed certain areas of 911 Field exceeded monitoring thresholds, with RAD recommending continued monitoring before scheduling additional fall maintenance cycles to extend turf life.
