SOUTHBOROUGH — Select board unanimously appointed Amy Berry as interim town clerk, effective October 1, 2026. The Board appointed Berry at $56.40 per hour ($117,312 annualized) to serve through May 11, 2027. Berry, who previously served as Deputy Town Clerk in Southborough and currently serves as Grafton Town Clerk, begins as Interim Assistant Town Clerk on September 23.
The appointment addresses the resignation of Town Clerk Jim Hegarty, who served a decade, and requires voter approval to transition the position from elected to appointed status. The Board also unanimously approved appointments of Suzette Jaundoo as Temporary DPW Business Administrator and Cooper Harris as Youth and Family Services graduate-level intern.
