Select Board approves A/V upgrades, advances governance study and Special Town Meeting warrant

SOUTHBOROUGH — Select Board approves McAuliffe Hearing Room A/V upgrades, governance study framework. The board unanimously approved IT Director Jay Montijo's recommendation for audio-visual system improvements and moved forward on a municipal governance study scope of services, modeled on Burlington and to be reviewed by potential consultants including Capital Strategic Solutions and UMass Boston's Collins Center. Chair Andrew R.

Dennington, II and the board also advanced Special Town Meeting articles addressing the Neary School building, with Member Al Hamilton proposing a 15-year minimum viable product option at approximately $15 million and other articles covering full renovation feasibility and roof repair, with the warrant to be signed by February 13 and voter decision ultimately determining scope priorities.
