Select Board approves liquor license for Lalo's Mexican Kitchen & Bar.
Select Board · Meeting of January 6, 2026
SOUTHBOROUGH — Select Board unanimously approves liquor license for Lalo's Mexican Kitchen & Bar at 154 Turnpike Road. Owners Vanessa Ceja and Gerardo Guzman, operating two other Mexican restaurants in Hudson and Marlborough, presented the application with Attorney Christopher Flood; the Board also approved a Common Victualer's License. Finance Director Brian Ballantine presented the FY27 budget showing an approximate 1.9 million dollar deficit in rough draft form and recommended the Board make a global decision on employee training expenditures rather than address them department-by-department, citing morale and retention concerns.
The Board reclassified ARPA funds, reducing Peninsula Trail upgrades by 1,536.24 dollars and increasing Fire Equipment authorization by the same amount.
