Southborough Select Board approves Superintendent authorization for Neary School project bid documents. Members voted unanimously to allow the Superintendent of Schools to prepare evaluations and bid documents for a Neary School roof repair project approved at the previous night's Special Town Meeting, with bonds to be issued on or near July 1 and a Building Committee of five members to oversee design. Cook and board members also met with State Senator Jamie Eldridge and State Representative Kate Donaghue, who confirmed Rep. Donaghue is requesting a $35,000 earmark for Tricentennial celebrations and pursuing regulatory relief on radiation and hazardous waste. The Board advanced FY27 budget deliberation, noting a projected 4.9 percent tax increase and $400,000 levy balance, and declined acquisition of a $207,363 deed-restricted affordable unit at 39 Meeting House Lane by 4-0-1 vote.
