Trails Committee · Meeting of July 16, 2026

Southborough Trails Committee approved prior minutes and advanced two phases of Peninsula Trail development. Phase I was scheduled for Community Preservation Committee review on July 21, following a Massachusetts Trail Grants Administrator's site inspection of the completed gate, fencing, signs, and parking area. The committee identified the need to complete closeout documentation with videos and photographs before the CPC meeting.

Phase II remained in draft application status, focused on bridge construction, with new cost quotes being solicited. The committee also drafted a Choate Fund grant application proposing to expand the stone dust area near signage, add benches, and expand interpretive signage. The next meeting was scheduled for August 27, 2026.
