Trails Committee approves prior minutes, advances Peninsula Trail Phase II.

Southborough Trails Committee · Meeting of June 1, 2026

SOUTHBOROUGH — Trails Committee unanimously approves prior minutes, prioritizes bridge construction for Peninsula Trail Phase II. Members voted 5-0 on April 9 minutes as budget constraints forced deferral of a planned boardwalk in favor of bridge construction and natural surface trail connector. Chair Kathryn McKee directed staff to submit a new Community Preservation Act application by June 30 for fall town meeting and seek Phase I fund reallocation.

A work party is scheduled June 13 with the Appalachian Mountain Club to complete remaining natural surface trail sections.
