Southborough's Tricentennial Committee advances 2027 celebration planning. Chair Donald Morris and committee members reviewed the Southborough Tricentennial Spectacular music festival budget—currently $15,000 but potentially $25,000—and agreed to consider relocating a planned drone show from First Day (January 1, 2027) to the festival itself, pending 501(c)(3) approval for any funding gaps. Recreation Director Travis Farley detailed First Day activities across three venues with estimated costs to follow.
The committee unanimously approved April 8 minutes and tabled budget discussion for a future meeting, advancing work on History in Bloom, banner installation, and oral history outreach.
