Tricentennial Committee · Meeting of January 21, 2026

SOUTHBOROUGH — Tricentennial Committee greenlights $25,000 drone show for 2027. Chair Donald Morris and the six-member committee unanimously approved a contract with Firefly Drone Shows to perform a 15-minute aerial display with 200 drones on January 1, 2027, with payment split 50-50 between deposit and day-of settlement. The Friends of Southborough Tricentennial committed to the downpayment, with the committee seeking additional sponsors.

The committee also unanimously adopted an "Awareness Days" marketing concept featuring social media campaigns tied to themed community spotlights including Legacy Family Day, Trail Day, Farm Day, Education Day, and Public Service Day, with members assigned sections of town to identify light poles for permanent banner brackets across the four villages.
