Southborough Trust Fund Board approved $37,000 in transfers to emergency and tax-assistance accounts, citing strong portfolio performance. Chair Sam Stivers and Member Sue Wood voted unanimously to transfer $12,000 from the Waldo Fay Fund to the Southborough Emergency Fund, increasing the annual contribution from $9,000, while directing $25,000 to the Taxation Aid Committee. Treasurer Brian Ballantine reported the Waldo Fay Fund earned nearly $43,000 through March 31, 2026.

The Taxation Aid Committee uses its funds to pay one quarter of real estate taxes for qualified applicants, primarily senior residents; the committee reported falling short of its goal by $6,000 to $9,000 this year.
