Southborough's Zoning Board approved a special permit for 34 Turnpike Road alterations, with conditions. Applicant Erasmo Barroso sought setback relief for a side addition at 13.9 feet, below the required 15-foot standard. Abutter Peter Bemis objected, citing Title V septic concerns and misrepresentation of the original home's bedroom count in town records.
The board voted unanimously to condition the permit on Board of Health approval of both the septic system and the residential conversion, requiring sign-offs from all relevant boards before a Certificate of Occupancy could issue. The board also withdrew a 22 Newton Street variance application without prejudice.
