Planning Board issues temporary occupancy permit for Fayville Hall, contingent on site plan modifications.
Planning Board · Meeting of January 12, 2026
SOUTHBOROUGH — Planning Board approves temporary occupancy for Fayville Hall renovation under strict compliance terms. The Southborough Historic Society's renovated facility at 40-42 Central Street received a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy valid through May 1, 2026, contingent on 30-day progress updates, submission of a formal site plan modification with as-built plans by April 8, installation of ADA-compliant signage, and corrective work on parking lot delineation and landscaping. The town waived its $520 modification review fee; the applicant will pay approximately $4,000 in engineering peer-review costs.
Board members cited discrepancies between the approved site plan and construction completed, including missing parking delineation, altered ADA ramp location, and non-standard parking-lot surfacing.
