Conservation Commission approves Willow Street culvert replacements
Conservation Commission · Meeting of January 8, 2026
Southborough Conservation Commission approves Orders of Conditions for two Willow Street culvert replacements. The board voted unanimously 5-0 to authorize the Department of Public Works projects, presented by DPW Director William Cundiff and Pare Corporation engineers Eric Silva and Gregory LaCroix, addressing failing stream crossings beneath Willow Street that pose flooding and safety risks to the roadway. The south project affects a stream crossing near Turnpike Road; the north addresses a partially collapsed culvert.
The Commission also continued two public hearings to January 29 for amended and new permits at other properties and removed three compliance matters for spring follow-up. Chair Mark Possemato was recognized for 35 years of service.
